What if you created a place that greeted you with a wall of mosaic art? What if you abandoned the common slick urban design and embraced a more inspired approach. What if art and luxury were truly intertwined?
These are the questions we asked when we set out to create a new concept in urban living. One that stands out among the rest with its remarkable new vision in Pasadena.
The Dalton is the first of its kind and we invite you to be a part of it.
It may seem to be an unlikely match - a homebuilder collaborating with a fine artist. However, when you create a team of people who are passionate about what they do, their unique disciplines shine even brighter.
We first experienced Bob Zoell’s work at the Wilshire/ Vermont Metro Red Line Station in Los Angeles and the Santa Fe Art Colony in downtown LA. His passion for public art inspired us to think about the impact of art found in unexpected places, and, ultimately, create that kind of significance here at The Dalton.
Three ceramic tile murals by Bob Zoell will make The Dalton the first to incorporate such a large-scale public art project into the design of an urban residential building. Two murals will be on the pedestrian level and another will be placed above the retail units.
The people who live here will experience art at almost every turn. Homes will include gallery walls for handsomely displayed art collections, common corridors will feature an asymmetrical design, where color, light and pattern create an evolving display, and the lobby will be an exhibit of unique fabric pendants and mohair panels.
